About Me
Who am I:
Someone who can build interface designs for web projects and incorporate back-end or front-end code to enhance an interface or adjust dynamic content.
Experienced at incorporating Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and developing web projects that are compatible with multiple media.
A team player who enjoys asking a lot of questions and proposing ideas during brainstorming sessions.
Someone who enjoys cheering everyone along.
What I can do:
-
Programing
In a high school coding class, is where a love of, programing visually started. From QBasic and C++, there was a shift in college into multimedia interface design, using Lingo, ActionScript, and HTML. Then in the workforce, a focus on the web was found, learning CSS, SASS, CFML, PHP, .NET, and JavaScript.
Working closely with senior back-end or front-end web developers to relieve pressure by helping to troubleshoot bugs, implement code snippets, and adjust dynamic code for content development. Finding patterns and appreciating the efficiency of code, has helped build complex interfaces that can be used on desktop, mobile phone, and kiosk touch screens.
-
Design
Understanding the fundamentals of design and how they apply to a useful and accessible interface allows an appreciation when building someone else web design. I typically ask the designer questions, then build from their mock-up. If needed I can create design or layout solutions too. I can also design on my own, but I usually get my inspiration from other's work.

Quality Assurance
As I have learned more and more about Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) I have been asked to create reports and make the necessary updates. Peer review, code review, and accessible reviews are all important parts when developing a project. I have set up manual testing scenarios for others to follow, I have done tests for my work, and have had others review my work as well. I am happiest when we all work together to put out a quality project.
